AN ELDERLY pedestrian is being treated for serious injuries following a road traffic collision in town.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which is said to have happened on the corner of Bond Street and Conway Street at around 3.20pm on Friday.
A white Ford Transit van travelling along Conway Street reportedly collided with the pedestrian while they were crossing the entrance to Bond Street.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and is currently in hospital receiving treatment.
