A 44-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed for supplying cocaine for a six month period in 2020.

Christopher Annand was sentenced to four years and six months imprisonment after he was arrested in December 2020 as part of an operation run by the States police Drug Squad.

Officers executed a warrant at an address in St Helier where they found weighing scales and a number of substances at the premises which, after being tested, were confirmed to contain traces of cocaine and amphetamine, and adulterants.

A mobile phone seized revealed that Annand had been regularly involved in supplying cocaine between June and December 2020.

DS Jim McGranahan, head of the Drug Squad, said: ‘Every police officer and member of staff involved in these investigations works hard and will continue to do so to ensure we keep illegal drugs off our Island’s streets and see those who deal in these drugs put before the courts.’
