A ‘ROAD-RAGE outburst’ led to beeping, foul language and a driver’s phone being smashed.

Police are seeking witnesses to the altercation between two men on Beach Road last Tuesday (5 April) at around 2.50pm, when the driver of a silver BMW – described as being in his 40s and wearing a pink sweatshirt, shorts and trainers – was using his horn after being blocked by a delivery vehicle on the road.

He was reportedly asked to stop by a female resident, which resulted in shouting and ‘foul language’, in turn causing another man – around 29 years old and wearing a dark jacket and trousers with a baseball hat – to intervene.

The pair allegedly became involved in an argument, during which the driver’s phone was smashed on the floor.

Anyone who may have seen this or who has any information is asked to contact police on 612612 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
