Police appeal after dog dies in St Aubin vehicle collision

POLICE are appealing for information after a dog died in a road traffic collision in St Aubin.

The Jack Russell, called Rosebud, ran away from her owner on the beach, between two parked cars and was hit by an oncoming vehicle on Sunday morning outside Morrisons in the village. She ran away after the collision but did not survive her injuries.

States police would like to speak with the driver of the vehicle, described as a green VW people carrier. The driver initially stopped and spent some time looking for the dog after the collision but left the area before providing the dog owner with their details or contacting the police.
