AN Islander has appealed for help identifying mysterious green blobs which are washing up on Jersey beaches.
Steven Andrews found a jelly-like gooey mass on the sand in St Aubin on Sunday and another in Grouville yesterday.
He said they weighed about 500g and were the size of a small milk carton.
Mr Andrews said: ‘The objects are like a thick discus of greenish jelly. They are firm inside, the consistency of a jelly cube.’
He added: ‘It’s not a creature as far as I know. I cut it with my spade and it had the consistency of gelatine.’
