A PEDESTRIAN was treated by paramedics after being struck by a car which crashed into traffic lights in town on Wednesday afternoon.
The 25-year-old suffered what the police have described as minor injuries following the incident near the Maritime Museum.
The driver of the BMW – a woman aged in her early 60s – also escaped without serious injury, the police said.
However, the car, traffic lights and railings were badly damaged.
