The States police were called about the incident at around 9.30pm on Monday and sent armed officers to the scene.
Two women, aged 32 and 37, were arrested and were still in custody as of midday yesterday.
One nearby resident, who wished to remain anonymous and was at home at the time, said: ‘I was sat down at about 9.30pm or 9.40pm and all of a sudden I noticed a police van parked at an unusual angle outside. More and more police vehicles turned up with their blue lights on.
‘Two of them were the type used for transporting prisoners in the back and then there were about three to four police cars and two ambulances. They just kept coming.’
He added: ‘I saw one woman being put into the back of a van and my son saw someone connected up to a load of monitors being put into the back of an ambulance. They must have been there for about three to four hours afterwards and I saw at least one armed police officer.’
The States police have said that all of those allegedly involved are known to each other.
