Filming for a second season of the Real Housewives of Jersey – a reality TV show showcasing the ‘glamorous’ lives of several Jersey women – reportedly began this weekend, with some Islanders claiming to have seen scenes being shot in the Valley Adventure Centre.
And there has been speculation
that there may be a shake-up of the cast for the second series, with two of the
original housewives not appearing – although that has not been confirmed at this stage.
The show originally aired on ITVBe and ITVHub at the end of December with a series of ten episodes and starred Tessa Hartman, Kate Taylor, Hedi Green, Ashley Cairney, Margaret Thompson, Jayne Rayner and Mia Ledbury.
The Real Housewives of Jersey made an impact on social media and even spawned an unofficial companion podcast called ‘The Real HouseGuys of Jersey’, in which comedic duo John Liot and Ollie Watts produced a weekly recap of the housewives’ antics.
And despite some negative feedback, the first series generated increased interest in Jersey, with fans flocking online to learn more about the Island. Visit Jersey reported a spike in searches following the broadcast.
