Because Jersey Met has issued a weather warning of potential snow on Monday and Tuesday.

But while you will need your coat there’s probably no need to dig out the sledges, with little chance of it sticking.

The yellow warning says: ‘Very cold air is expected from Monday afternoon, with perhaps some sleet or snow showers from later Monday and on Tuesday. Any accumulations are expected to be negligible.’

On Tuesday Jersey recorded its warmest March day since records began in 1894, with highs of 22.9°C. A week later, temperatures are forecast to peak at around 7°C.

A snow forecast has also been issued for Guernsey.
