Real Housewives of Jersey star helps deliver daffodils and joy to care homes

The flowers were donated by Woodside Farms and picked by volunteers from Maillards Funeral Directors.

Maillards organised the daffodil-picking and delivery as part of their Celebrating Life initiative, in which the company sponsors and supports local people and causes.

So far the initiative has seen work begin on a book of Islanders’ Occupation memories and gifts of Jersey lily bulbs to be planted in memory of loved ones.

When Mrs Taylor heard about the initiative she volunteered, as she wanted to give something back to the Island.

‘Maillards is mindful that while Covid-19 restrictions are relaxing, the majority of Jersey’s elderly population remains shielding inside,’ said Julian de la Cour, the company’s managing director.

‘Jersey is abundant with beautiful fields of daffodils and we wanted to share this beauty with residents who were stuck inside. And we are very thankful to Woodside Farms ,who gave us permission to pick from their fields.’
