Real Housewives filming continues

A crew of around six people was based on the waterfront just east of the village on Sunday as part of preparations for ITV series The Real Housewives of Jersey.

Disclaimer notices were erected warning passers-by that they might be caught on camera, and not to proceed if they objected to this.

News that the series had been commissioned emerged earlier this month, with a range of views expressed about whether the publicity from the show would be beneficial or damaging to Jersey. A spokesperson for NBCUniversal, the company behind the global Real Housewives franchise, said it would feature ‘some of the Island’s most fabulous housewives embracing all the Island has to offer – from tranquil beaches to the most glamorous parties’.

Viewers are promised ‘a unique insight into the lifestyles of Jersey’s biggest characters, with fun, laughter and, of course, plenty of glitz’.

The Real Housewives of Jersey is set to launch later in the year with a premiere on the ITV Hub and will run weekly on ITVBe.
