Unlike normal, when floats move to the arena early in the morning, the exhibits will not move from their bases until 12.30pm on Thursday. Current forecasts are predicting a 70% chance of heavy rain in the morning.
It is estimated they will arrive at Victoria Avenue around 1.30pm/ 2pm, however the road will still close at 9.30am to allow arrangements to be made.
The parade is then due to go ahead as planned at 2.30pm, and Victoria Avenue will reopen at 7pm.
Due to further rain forecast for Thursday night, the floats will not remain at Millbrook playing fields as normal and will return to dedicated bases in the west of the Island from 4.30pm.
