Jewellery stolen in home burglary in Jersey

A POLICE investigation is under way after a burglar broke into a property in St Helier and stole watches and jewellery.


The thief entered the house in Old St John's Road after using a paving stone to smash a rear window.

In a statement, the States police said: 'The property backs onto the Little Sisters of The Poor building on Old St John’s Road and police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen something suspicious in that area or who may have information to help with this investigation.'

Anyone with information about the incident, which happened between 2.30 pm and 5.25 pm on Wednesday, is being asked to phone the States police on 612612 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
