AeroSPARX to fly once again at Moonlight Parade

The AeroSPARX gliders last added their trademark pizazz to the Moonlight Parade finale back in 2016.

Ports of Jersey will be sponsoring the team’s performance this year.

‘I have seen AeroSPARX perform on a number of occasions and each time they deliver an exciting and memorable aerobatic performance,’ said Airport director Stephen Driscoll. ‘We are pleased that, despite their increasingly busy schedule, we have managed to secure a unique aviation spectacle as part of this year’s Jersey Battle of Flowers Moonlight Parade finale.’

The AeroSPARX gliders use fireworks and wingtip pyrotechnics to create special effects in the sky. The team performs all over the world, having recently helped mark Saudi National Day in Jeddah and wowed crowds on the coast of Italy in a special celebration for a Swedish cosmetics company.

Battle of Flowers events director Jackie Donald said organisers were grateful for Ports’ support in bringing back the squad.

‘We are delighted AeroSPARX’s are returning to this year’s Moonlight Parade,’ she said. ‘They last performed for us in 2016 and anyone who was lucky enough to see them will no doubt agree that the team bring a real wow factor and are a guaranteed crowd pleaser.’

The Battle of Flowers takes place on 9 and 10 August. Tickets are now on sale at battleofflowers.com and via the ticket hotline 639000.
