Information sought on car stolen from town

A CAR was stolen from outside a property in Commercial Street this week.

The dark blue Renault Clio – registration J98706 – was last seen on the St Helier street on Sunday and was reported stolen the following day.

According to the States police, so far this year a total of four cars, two mopeds, one motorcycle and a van have been reported stolen. All vehicles were later traced.

In 2016, six motorcycles, five mopeds, 15 cars and two vans were taken.

Officers are now reviewing CCTV footage and are asking Islanders with any information regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle to call them on 612612 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
