The 27-year-old claimed the group, who she thought were aged between 14 and 16, followed her for up to three hundred metres from midway up Pier Road into the car park shouting obscenities at her on Wednesday.
The woman – who did not want to be named – has reported the alleged incident to the police and officers were due to visit her yesterday evening. She said the abuse started after she asked the group of five boys to stand out of the way on the pavement to allow her to get passed.
‘They moved and then followed me calling me a fat b**** and a f****** c***. It was just awful. I did not know what to do, I was by myself. When I got to my car I was shaking,’ she said.
‘I was on the second floor and they got in the lift and I thought they were following me but they went all the way to the top and were still shouting at me.’
