Letter to the Editor: This green space is used

It is literally a small nature strip with birds and insects in abundance. For a spokesperson from Andium Homes to state that it is not used is incorrect, as it is enjoyed by many people ‘visually’ either as residents or people passing by. It is a refreshing and pleasing sight to see. This green area must be protected, as one of the few left in St Helier, from Andium Homes whom together with Housing Minister Anne Pyke are determined to introduce saturation developments and a return to the ghetto estates as previously seen with Nicholson Park, Clarence Court and others.

This refreshing green space could easily be listed as a park, and possibly a negotiated purchase by the parish of St Helier would ensure that it remained for nature and the public to enjoy.
