JERSEY branches of Waitrose will soon have trolleys for older disabled children in their three Island stores, the supermarket has confirmed.

The decision to introduce the trolleys was made following a campaign by an Islander.

As reported yesterday, the Channel Islands Co-op have also placed an order.

The trolleys have special seats that make them easier for older children with disabilities to use.
