Application for five homes to be built near Springfield site

The businessman, who runs a number of entertainment operations, including Tamba Park and Tamba Arcade, has applied to demolish a home that stands on otherwise empty land on the corner of Springfield Road and Trinity Road. The site was once home to the Robin Hood takeaway.

Under the plans, Mr Ruff hopes to bring down the 1970s property and replace it with five three-bedroom homes, with space for two cars per unit and storage for bicycles.

The application has been submitted under JAJ Properties Ltd, with Mr Ruff’s signature appearing at the bottom of the form.

Reports included in the application suggest that the project will cost in the region of £1.3 million, with the design of the scheme being handled by Design Plus Architects.
