Police reassure residents after alleged stabbings

States police Superintendent James Wileman also stressed that there was no link between the incident near Aquila Road on Sunday and another alleged stabbing 250 metres away on Vauxhall Street that left a pensioner dead a week before.

Supt Wileman has since moved to reassure the public that Jersey remains a safe place to live and work.

‘Now that the case is in the hands of the court I am unable to talk in specific detail, however I feel it is important to reassure Islanders that cases such as this, and the incident last week where another man was killed, are extremely rare in Jersey,’ he said.
