Pride of Jersey 2016 honour community champions

Following almost 20,000 votes from the public, 37 finalists and their families, friends, judges and sponsors gathered for the prestigious awards ceremony held on the stunning grounds of Government House and in the company of the Lieutenant-Governor, General Sir John McColl and Lady McColl.

Hosting the event, organised by the JEP for the second year, was former England footballer Graeme Le Saux and singer/songwriter Nerina Pallot.

A total of 13 winners were selected, including a JEP Special Recognition Award, which resulted in a standing ovation for the winner after her incredible life-saving story was told that ended in a surprise emotional reunion.

Don’t miss Monday’s JEP for a special Pride of Jersey commemorative supplement revealing all of the winners and their extraordinary stories.
