Boy (16) saves men from being swept out to sea

Victoria College student Max Denby (16) spotted the men in trouble 50 metres off Elizabeth Castle, in St Aubin’s Bay, at about 6 pm on Saturday evening.

They had been trying to walk back from the castle to shore when they got into difficulty.

Max, who works for Le Mourier Powerboat School and RIB Charters, was returning from a dolphin-watch charter in his RIB when he spotted the men, pulled one of them onto the vessel and was assisted in helping the other into the boat by Jersey Marinas, which sent out a two-man crew in its dory vessel.
