GALLERY: St Clement School football team get their own champions’ parade

The school is the first from Jersey to have won the title, going a step further than Victoria College Prep who have twice been runners-up.

Players from the team were driven from the school, past FB fields, where they play their matches, into town and back to school.

In St Helier, people left work and came out onto the streets to give the youngsters a cheer.

Last month, the team beat St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School, from Staffordshire, 4-2 on penalties following a 0-0 draw at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium to win the tournament.
