Police warn of rise in cyber-crime threats

According to the States police’s 2015 Annual Performance Report, a total of 212 cyber-related crimes, including fraud, were reported and investigated last year.

Earlier this year Detective Superintendent Stewart Gull, the head of crime and criminal services at the States police, said that cyber-crime in the Island had increased by 35 per cent in 2015 and that it was vital that Jersey was prepared for internet and computer-enabled threats to security.
