Ron Maletroit, who lives at Chemin des Hougues in the heart of the valley, has written to householders in the area from Devil’s Hole to the former Westview Hotel in St Mary, and across the valley to Mont de la Barcelone and Rue du Cerf in St John, to gauge their level of interest.
So far, more than half have contacted him to offer their support, with only one person expressing the fear that extending the main sewers to the area could encourage more development in the area.
Mr Maletroit has also contacted the Constables and Deputies in both parishes and is due to meet Infrastructure Minister Eddie Noel before organising a public meeting so that residents can have their say.
