Legal move to reverse finance centre decision

The St Helier Waterfront Action Group has lodged a legal challenge and is seeking a judicial review of the decision to approve the Jersey Development Company’s second unit, which is known as Building 5.

The project was approved last year, but it became the subject of a third-party appeal by rival developers C Le Masurier Ltd, however, a second similar set of plans for the same scheme was approved before Le Masurier’s appeal was heard.

Now, campaigners say that approving the project for a second time while the first scheme was the subject of a live appeal was unacceptable.
