Senator Lyndon Farnham was asked in the States yesterday by St Helier Constable Simon Crowcroft whether he was confident that the problems with Condor were not affecting the bookings of tourists who want to come to Jersey.

The minister said that he was not ‘as confident’ as he had been but he believed that the ferry operator would find a solution.

‘I have spent most of my political career championing tourism, which makes this especially frustrating for me,’ he said. ‘Although there is an impact now on tourism it is still very small.’
