Developers urge Planning to delay finance centre decision

The plans, submitted by the Jersey Development Company, were deferred last month as the Planning Committee realised it would not have enough members present to make a decision.

Developers C Le Masurier Ltd have now written to planners to argue that the outcome of their third-party planning appeal against an earlier application for the building – which was approved last year – should be known before a decision is made on the resubmitted scheme, which differs only slightly.

Last year the JDC were given permission to build the second office block of the finance centre, but C Le Masurier Ltd, as owners of property within 50 metres of the proposed site, lodged an appeal, which is due to be heard on 21 and 22 March.
