Jersey Calais Refugee Aid Group is now appealing for donations so that it can help to fund dormitory buses for young people to prevent them from ‘falling off the radar’ after the French government began evicting people from the southern part of the Jungle.

In the longer term, the charity wants to raise funds to provide mobile classrooms within the camp.

Bram Wanrooij, the founder of JCRAG, says that they are working with UK charity the Schoolbus Project and that they are hoping to have multiple classroom units throughout the camp by June.
