Held at Fort Regent, the concert showcased the talents of JMS ensembles – the Jazz Festival Big Band, performing at the concert for the first time, the Jersey Youth Orchestra, Jersey Wind Band, the training and intermediate bands and orchestras, as well as the Singcredibles (formerly the Island Games Choir) and the Jersey Youth Choir.
Featuring students aged from seven to 18 from schools across the Island, the concert included an eclectic range of musical styles and performances, all of which were introduced by members of the ensembles themselves.
Among the most memorable was the Mickey Mouse March, which was performed with considerable enthusiasm by some of the youngest JMS members, as was a delicate string performance of The Fox Went a-Fiddlin’.
