The race to offer new homes for Island businesses has intensified in recent months, with private developers competing against each other and the States-owned Jersey Development Company, which has begun building the Jersey International Finance Centre at the Esplanade car park.
Dandara’s new Esplanade office block next door to the Grand Jersey is nearing completion and the core of the first building of the JIFC has begun to rise from its foundations, and now Comprop, who recently oversaw the refurbishment and redevelopment of the Southampton Hotel into offices and a downstairs restaurant, are to lead the project at 29 to 31 Seaton Place to create a four-storey block containing 20,000 sq ft of office space.
