In April the Bosdet Foundation, which runs Les Ormes in St Brelade, will launch volunteer.je, a website which will allow users to search, register and apply for volunteering opportunities with charities, youth or sports groups or other non-profit organisations.
It is hoped that the website, which is the first of its kind in Jersey, will list up to 300 local organisations and also feature profiles of different groups on a weekly basis.
The website, which will be free for Islanders to use, will cost £10,000 to set up and will be run entirely by the Bosdet Foundation.
Islanders interested in helping to develop the site or in having their organisation listed should contact Alan La Pavoux by emailing alan@bosdet.je or calling 497035.
