The Island was included in Visit Britain’s first-ever Imagination magazine, which has a print run of ‘hundreds of thousands’ of copies and is published worldwide digitally in at least ten languages.
Keith Beecham, chief executive of Visit Jersey, who used to work for Visit Britain, said the States-funded organisation did not ‘pay a penny’ for the advert.
He added that by changing Visit Jersey’s name from Jersey Tourism it has helped the Island associate better with tourist agencies across Britain who use the ‘Visit’ banner.
