Durrell is still looking for a number of volunteers to help out at its new store, which is based at Peacock Farm in Rue de la Pièce Mauger, Trinity.
The shop, which will be open from Wednesday to Saturday between 9 am and 1 pm, will sell a range of items including clothing, jewellery, toys, kitchenware and small items of furniture.
Durrell has said that all profits from the shop will go towards its mission of saving species from extinction.
