From next month Caring Cooks will be offering cookery courses to parents via the Brighter Futures charity, who will have the use of the professional training kitchens at Highlands.
Caring Cooks was set up two years ago by mother of two Melissa Nobrega, who offered to cook a healthy meal once a week for a family struggling financially or through illness.
Since then, Mrs Nobrega’s charity has grown and as well as supplying meals to families, she runs five-week cookery classes for parents at Le Rocquier School.
Next month she will be increasing the number of classes there to two evenings a week, as well as starting the new classes at Highlands.
