And at the end of this month, Helen will fly to Antigua to join crew and fellow sailors on the Jubilee Sailing Trust tall ship Tenacious to begin the Central American leg of the ship’s world circumnavigation.
‘The bursary was an amazing surprise,’ said Helen.
‘I wouldn’t have been able to do the trip otherwise, it would have been too expensive.
‘The bursary also helped me to get the leg of the journey that I wanted.’
