Jersey amateur photographer snaps up top national award

The Old Victorian (38), a Virgin Atlantic long-haul pilot, was recently announced as the winner of motorcycle insurers Carole Nash’s photo-biking contest.

Moto Foto, which this year has received a record number of entries, capitalises on the biking community’s passion for stunning machines, and fuses that with another popular British pastime – photography.

Matt, a biker himself, entered his picture into the competition’s Static/Art category.

It was an image of a BMW race bike that was taken in Valencia in 2014 and was shot as the Moto GP stars were lined up on the grid waiting to start their race.
