Last year the school staged a highly successful production of Peter Pan – complete with a flying sequence – and have triumphed yet again with Annie.
Students from Years 8 to 11, under their directors, Dan Mortimer, Charlotte Cooper and Victoria Trebilcock, produced the show with help from members of staff who advised on set construction and painting and performed in the live band.
Mr Mortimer said: ‘I feel privileged to be able to offer the opportunity for our youngsters to perform and work on full-scale productions in a purpose-built theatre with professional kit.
‘Staff and students have worked together to produce something wonderful for our local community, while making memories that our students will treasure.
‘Special thanks go to the ADC wardrobe department, to friends who have given their time to be part of the live band, and to Chambers pub for lending us their 11-foot Christmas tree.’
