The ferry firm say that all passengers scheduled to sail on Wednesday will still do so, though some will be on different ferries from those planned:
- Sailings between Poole and Guernsey will go ahead but will be subject to a three to five hour delay departing Poole at 1 pm.
- Passengers travelling from Poole to Jersey on the 1 pm sailing will change to Condor Rapide in Guernsey, arriving in St Helier approximately three to five hours after the original scheduled time of arrival.
- Those passengers travelling from Jersey to Guernsey will now travel on Commodore Clipper and arrive five hours later than scheduled, leaving Jersey at 6 pm.
- Passengers travelling from Jersey to Portsmouth will travel on Commodore Clipper and arrive in Portsmouth on Thursday morning, departing Jersey at 6 pm.
All passengers are currently being notified of these changes and are advised to check Sailing Updates on the Condor Ferries website or to follow @CF_Travel_News on Twitter.
Earlier today, the Condor Liberation had to turn back to Guernsey after strong winds prevented it from entering St Helier Harbour.
Passengers were due to be brought back to Jersey on the Condor Rapide later this afternoon.
In a statement on its website, Condor said: ‘Condor Ferries regrets to advise that due to wind speed in St Helier that were higher than forecast, Condor Liberation has been prevented from safely berthing.
‘High winds are forecast to stay for the reminder of the day and as a result Condor Liberation will now return to Guernsey where conditions are slightly better.
‘All passengers booked from Poole and Guernsey to Jersey will need to disembark in Guernsey and will then transship via a new service undertaken by Condor Rapide.’
