Announcing the line-up, the organisers of this year’s Big Gig in the Park said: ‘We are delighted to be able to announce The Vamps and Union J as our headliners for Sure’s Big Gig in the Park 2015.

‘The Vamps are a massive deal, and to be able to bring them to Jersey after their recent global success is fantastic.

‘Many people will remember Union J from Big Gig 2013.

‘They have been supporting The Vamps on their huge UK tour, so no doubt together the boys will have quite a show for Jersey – lively, energetic and packed with fun.’

Last year, a Big Gig Legend in the Park event was also held for the first time, starring Tom Jones.

This will be returning for a second time this year, on 4 July, and the act for this year’s Legend in the Park event will be announced this Friday.

Sponsored by Sure Mobile, the Big Gig in the Park raises money for local children’s charities, including Help A Jersey Child.
