A number of politicians were seen arriving for the event that was open to all Members – including ousted and retiring politicians – as well as their partners.

Despite the low turnout, honorary police officers as well as court ushers were in attendance around the nearby lanes.

Treasury Minister Philip Ozouf came over to talk to protestors followed by Senator-elect Andrew Green and Chief Minister Senator Ian Gorst, who was bombarded with questions and accusations that the plan for Members to make a donation to charity instead of paying for their meal ‘was an afterthought’.
