If approved, the scheme would see a mixture of three and four-bed houses and apartments built at the site, which still functions as a hotel.
Since the 1980s the hotel has belonged to and been run by Morvan Hotels, which owns a number of venues across the Island.
The hoteliers behind the project say that the decision to redevelop followed a significant reduction in visitor numbers prompted by a general decline in the tourism industry.
