The dance will be staged as part of a western parishes fête which is being held this year instead of the West Show. The Show, which is usually held every two years, has been postponed until 2015 because the torrential rain at the time of the last event in 2012 has meant that all the fields have had to be re-seeded.
Mike Jackson, the president of the West Show Association, said that the association would be applying to the Bailiff’s Panel in early April and, providing they received approval, tickets would go on sale shortly afterwards.
