EasyJet to review its Gatwick flight times

The low-cost carrier, which will take over the popular service from Flybe on 30 March, has scrapped the later departure from Gatwick to the annoyance of many Islanders.

It will run three return flights a day between the two destinations, with the final plane leaving from Gatwick at 5.20 pm.

Ali Gayward, commercial manager for easyJet UK, told a Chamber of Commerce lunch at the Pomme d’Or Hotel that the airline was aware of the concerns.

Describing it as a ‘work in progress’, she said: ‘Please don’t think that this first schedule we have here will be the last.’

Ms Gayward also said that the company was encouraging feedback from Islanders about where they would like to be able to fly.
