Blue Islands save early Southampton service

Flybe yesterday gave notice that its first service out of the Island to Southampton will not depart until 8.15 am from the start of the summer schedule next year.

The decision is not a surprise as Flybe recently announced that it intends to close its Jersey base next year and operate all services from UK airports.

But Blue Islands managing director Rob Veron has given an undertaking that they will provide an early morning departure from the Island to ensure that the business link is not lost.
