He said that the announcement by UK Chancellor George Osborne to ease visa restrictions for Chinese visitors to Great Britain was welcome news for Jersey.

‘These changes will make the Island more appealing to Chinese businesses for inward investment and for tourists by making Jersey a more accessible destination,’ he said,

The Senator said that the UK was currently the number one destination for Chinese investment in Europe, attracting nearly £2 billion in the last year alone.
