The accolade this year has gone to the general manager of the Grand Jersey Hotel, Eamonn Elliott, who succeeds Elliot Lincoln, the chief executive of management consultancy Greenlight as the holder of the title.

Mr Elliott was presented with the prestigious award at a lunch at the Grange Hotel St Paul’s in London on Friday.

To be considered for the young director category, directors must be under the age of 42 and able to point to outstanding achievements at work in the previous 12 months.

He was chosen as the winner froma shortlist of ten, including fellow Islander Nigel Mann, co-founder and director of the Jersey Sports & Spinal Clinic.
