Condor Ferries chief executive James Fulford unveiled a picture of the new high speed 102-metre trimaran that they are looking to buy.

The hi-tech vessel has been built by Australian shipping company Austal and Condor have been talking to the company about purchasing it.

However, he said that there were potentially other buyers and a decision had to be made soon.

Mr Fulford told the audience of about 250 people at a Chamber of Commerce lunch that the £50 million new generation vessel could be en route to Jersey next year.
