Around 30 people were at the St Helier Yacht Club to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of one of the Island’s greatest sailing achievements, including most of the original crew who helped chart a course into the history books.
The race saw teams sail around the world over a period of ten months and Jersey’s win led to the creation of a bursary that still supports Islanders who want to pursue an interest in sailing.
Original crew members got together on Saturday night to relive the highs and lows that took place a decade ago.
