The Jersey business was a finalist at the 2013 People Management Awards in London presented by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

The senior members of the human resources team and the company’s chairman John Stares, were at the awards night on Tuesday at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane hosted by former UK politician and TV personality Gyles Brandreth.

Although the States-owned company was not a winner at the glittering dinner attended by about 700 people, it was a major achievement to make it on to shortlists in two categories – the awards for ‘building human resources capability’ and also for ‘organisational learning’.
